My training and experience

The training and experience I bring to my work, and my dedication to continued education, shape the care I offer. I’m committed to developing my knowledge and practice so that you receive thoughtful, relevant, and up-to-date support guided by evidence and tailored to you as an individual.

10 years in service

I worked with special needs young people for thirteen years before training to be a therapist. I have since worked as a school counsellor, supporting young people, parents and adult staff members with a range of emotional and mental health challenges. In these settings, I wrote content and delivered age specific mental health teaching in PSRE lessons.

My work has also been with young adults in Sixth Form and at University and I am competent working on-line and face to face. Part of my work in schools involved liaising with and working alongside the local Camhs teams, MHS Team and Social Services. I’ve also worked with recognised organisations such as Barnardo’s and in a private hospital, helping vulnerable individuals access consistent, compassionate support. Alongside this, I have established my own private practice, working with both adults, couples and young people on-line and face to face.

I have experience of working in multidisciplinary teams that included child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, nutritionists and family therapists.

This rich experience has shaped my approach and developed a strong understanding of working with a diverse range of individuals, age groups, and therapeutic needs, enabling me to offer flexible, client-centred support.
